nextnano Workshop at Gate Garching

nextnano workshop

During the 17th International Conference on Numerical Simulation of Optoelectronic Devices (NUSOD 2017) there will be a nextnano workshop offered in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The tutorial gives a hands-on introduction to our simulation software for electronic and optoelectronic quantum devices. The workshop demonstrates how the software works by discussing both simple and realistic devices.

When: Friday, 2017-July-28, 13:00-16:30

Where: Technical University of Denmark (Lyngby Campus), Copenhagen

Workshop fee: The workshop is free of charge and open to the public.

Registration: You can register via Facebook or send an email to Stefan Birner, stefan.birner [at] nextnano.com. You can also register on-site during the NUSOD 2017 workshop or simply join us when the workshop starts.
You will receive detailed instructions on how to install the software on your laptop in the week before the conference.

nextnano software

The nextnano software solves the Strain, Poisson, Schrödinger and Current equations self-consistently in one, two and three dimensions. It can be applied to a large variety of semiconductor nanostructures such as nanotransistors, LEDs, laser diodes, quantum dots, nanowires, quantum cascade lasers, HEMTs, photodetectors and solar cells.
